Linda was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in her early twenties and spent several years in a wheel chair. She says the medical professionals she interected with were very compassionate and helpful and she always felt the need to “give back”. Her move to Taos in 2000 allowed her that opportunity when she joined the Holy Cross Hospital Auxiliary and eventually the hospital’s board.
Linda says her favorite thing about serving on the hospital’s board is helping Holy Cross Hospital provide excellent health care to patients and compassion to their families.
Linda and her husband have a daughter, son-in-law and a 6 year old granddaughter who live in Long Island. They have two golden retrievers who provide them with companionship in Taos.
Linda has a Master’s of Science degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee WI and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. Her professional career was spent as a counselor and manager helping people with physical and cognitive disabilities prepare for employment in the community.
She has been on the hospital’s board for the past four years. She has also served as Auxiliary president, on the Auxiliary board, as well as on the Board Quality Committee, PHO, Compliance and Lifewings Committee, Ad Hoc Committee.
