You are Invited to a Special Ribbon Cutting Honoring Dr. Oskar Moller
Join Holy Cross Hospital for a special ribbon cutting to honor the late Dr. Oskar Moller and his family. The ribbon cutting and reception will take place this Thursday, July 23, beginning at 5:30 pm. We will meet in the Holy Cross Hospital Radiology waiting area then proceed to the new Oskar Moller Discharge Lounge. After the ribbon cutting refreshments will be served in the board room.
Dr. Moller was a beloved Holy Cross Hospital Emergency Room Physician and Medical Director between 1996 - 2012.He was an emergency physician for over 35 years in Pennsylvania, Florida and New Mexico. During his tenure at Holy Cross Hospital, Dr. Moller wanted to address how to increase throughput (the efficiency through which the patient moves through the system) in the Emergency Department. Our goal was to help actualize his dream by creating a multipurpose room where patients could wait comfortably for test results or paperwork. Additionally, his room will serve as a quiet space for family bereavement and a space for discussing sensitive issues with patients and families.
The Oskar Moller Discharge Lounge includes a television, comfortable lounge chairs and a sofa, as well as a children’s table with toys, coloring books and crayons. The discharge lounge was made possible thanks to many generous donors.
