Description: To provide general medical care and treatment to patients in our surgical clinic.

Location: Taos, NM - 1398 Wiemer Rd.

Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university required.  A bachelor's degree if granfathered in.

Shift: Days

Duration: Full-Time

Position Details
Advanced Practice Clinician, Full-Time, 40 hrs/week, Day Shift.
Non-Exempt, Hourly, Bargaining.
Benefited position starting 1st day of the following month after hire.

Position Summary
Utilizing current protocol criteria, the Mid-Level Practicitioner provides general medical care and treatment to patients in the clinic under the direction of the Surgeons that are within the practitioner's scope of practice and medical privileges.  The Mid-Level Practitioner takes and records medical histories, performs physical examinations, and assesses the patient's medical/surgical conditions.  The  Mid-Level Practitioner will  advise and counsel patients/legal guardians  of medical conditions, consult specialists when appropriate and perform procedures as indicated within the scop of practice and assist physicians as directed.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of a master's degree from an accredited college or university is required.  A bachelor's degree will be accepted if you are grandfathered in.
  • A current license by the New Mexico Board of Nursing for NP's or the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners for PA-C are required.
  • A current New Mexico Controlled Substance license and a federal DEA license required.
  • BCLS certification is required.
  • Credentialing through Holy Cross Hospital as required by the hospital bylaws.
  • Minimum of four years related experience or training in addition to a mid-level certification is preferred.
