Summary

Title: Cancer Support Coordinator

Department: Community Health Services

Description: Coordinate the Cancer Support Services Program.

Location: Taos, NM - 1398 Wiemer Rd.

Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience and skill set required.

Shift: Monday-Friday

Duration: Part-Time (Up to 24 hours per week).

Position Details:
Cancer Support Coordinator, Part-Time, 24 hrs/week, Day Shift.

Non-Exempt, Hourly, Non-Bargaining

Benefited position starting 1st day of the following month after hire.

Position Summary:

The Cancer Support Services Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Cancer Support Services program. Participates in the planning and development of the CSS program. Assists in the coordination of fundraising efforts including, but not limited to, “For the Health of It” and “Paint Taos Pink.” Performs intakes, one on one coaching, connects clients to cancer support resources and provides follow-up. Collects and reports data, maintains client files on each CSS recipient. Manages CSS budget, vendor invoicing, and reimbursement. Schedules and leads quarterly meetings of the CSS advisory council. Supervises contract staff. Works with Marketing to perform outreach and promotion of the program. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience and skill set required.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop, implement and coordinate activities under identified project
  • Coordinate day to day operations of project
  • Collaborate and coordinate services with other community agencies
  • Record and maintain project records; prepare reports, collect and analyze data
  • Monitor and coordinate accounting activities as appropriate
  • HIPPA compliant
  • Plan and participate in program meetings
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Licensure/Certification

  • Cancer Peer Support Facilitator Coach certification preferred
