Summary

Title: Radiology Technologist

Department: Imaging

Description: Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Must be capable of performing all routine diagnostic procedures in radiology.

Location: Taos, NM - 1397 Wiemer Rd.

Education: Graduate from an accredited school or college program in Radiology Technology required and current State of New Mexico licensure required.

Position Details
Radiology Tech, Full-Time, 28 hrs/week
NonExempt, Hourly, Bargaining.
Benefited position starting 1st day of the following month after hire.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiologist and Director of Imaging, the Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing radiology procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Must be capable of performing all routine diagnostic procedures in radiology.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school or college program in Radiology Technology required.
• Current State of New Mexico licensure required.
• ARRT registered and certified with the State of New Mexico required.
• BCLS required.
• One-year experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
• Communication and organizational skills required.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude required. Knowledge of Meditech preferred.
